Mum let's run -

C • 17 January 2021

In the beginning...

My youngest daughter had sad eyes as she began a conversation that was going to change my life...  "Mum I don't want you to die" my daughter, with her sweet pretty gaze with her mouth slightly raised at the sides showing her gorgeous dimples declared.  Gosh I thought I wasn't expecting that.  Let me say quickly this had nothing to do with 20/21's Covid.  I was overweight by I guess about 4/5 stone, aged 60 and had the sort of relationship with my daughter that I never imagined could be so good.

"People who are overweight are more likely to get cancer mum" again her dimples were on show, those dimples can melt the heart of a snow man.

"Seems to me we need to talk" was the only reply I could give at that moment.

What I came to learn was my daughter had been worrying about me for some time and had been gaining the courage to say something out loud hoping to persuade me to take care of myself.

So the story begins...
