What is a good adult friendship?
Whilst there are certainly different types of friendships, most adults would agree that a good friend is someone with whom there is mutual respect, someone with whom you have a deep understanding, someone with whom you can be your authentic self where communication is effortless.
A good friendship isn't just about fun and laughter but about empathy, support and validation through the difficult times where there is a natural balance of give and take.
If either feel something negative they are able to address it in a mature and respectful way, humility is an important component to a good friendship, the ability to just apologise rather than become defensive is a core ingredient.

Testimonials
"I have had counselling previously with another counsellor, but I found it robotic., when a friend suggested meeting with Carole I was offered a free 15 minute consultation and we met online. I could tell instantly that things would be different and following my first session already had started thinking differently. Sarah M
"I found Carole, the counsellor, to be so relaxed and easy going that I found myself exploring things I didn't think I would during my first session. It has been so helpful to me for myself, work and my relationships. I cannot recommend her enough." MR
"I was searching for a counsellor with lots of experience for my 17 year old. Although the sessions are confidential, I have noticed such a big difference in my daughter, she is no longer experiencing anxiety and is able to do all the things she could before, I am so happy I found her". LN
"I attended my counselling session with Carole today via video link. I felt relaxed and found my session equally beneficial to my previous face to face therapy. Carole’s work with me has been really transformative to my life." RB
"I had therapy with Carole in the UK and when I emigrated to Australia was so happy to find we could continue via online sessions, I feel every week more and more things are unruffled and explored from my childhood and my anxious attachment
style only rears it head on a few occasions. I can highly recommend Carole at Serendipity Counselling." SV
